The National Hellenic Student Association (NHSA) of North America will host their next semi-annual convention November 4-6, 2016 in Boston, MA.
The event will attract hundreds of undergraduate, graduate and PhD students, as well as young professionals from throughout the continent who are active in their respective schools’ Hellenic student societies.
NHSA, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, serves as the umbrella organization for a network of collegiate Hellenic associations throughout North America whose members are students of Greek descent.
The organization’s main goal is to unite university students of the diaspora by incorporating education, professionalism and community within one memorable weekend.
NHSA’s Executive Board works diligently to ease the burden of cost for students and provides scholarship opportunities for committed attendees and those traveling from afar.
Conventions boast academic workshops with guest speakers as well as networking and social events where students can learn, forge new connections with professionals, and create long-lasting friendships across the continent.
Topics to be discussed by speakers and panel lecturers at the Boston gathering include:
-Migration Crisis
-Human Rights Violations (Turkey)
-Geostrategic position of Greece & Cyprus
-Leadership: Trials & Tribulations
-Boston Marathon Bombing
-Networking & Career Building
