U.S Treasury Secretary Jacob Lew offered his take on Wednesday on how Greece and Europe can work together for a way out of the Greek debt crisis, by European lenders to set specific triggers for debt restructuring.
It is as simple as “if you do x, we do y,” Lew said during an appearance at the Brookings Institution.
“I hope that is where the discussion over the next few days goes…that is the space I see the possibility of a resolution,” he said.
Lew agreed with the IMF’s conclusion that the eurozone must provide Athens with comprehensive debt restructuring.
