The Greek sci-fi short “e-Social” which has been making waves at various film festivals recently got accepted into Comic-Con International. Comic-Con has become one of the most important film showings in North America, in addition to one of the biggest conferences and conventions.
A lot of Hollywood blockbusters as well as TV shows are shown and promoted at the festival. e- Social has the honor of the being the only Greek film accepted into the festival.
The film takes place in 2035. In this world, the e-A&Ω Corporation can create holograms that are identical to dead people based on their social networks. Anna recently lost her husband, so she decides to create his hologram, but soon comes to understand that some things can’t be replaced.
The film produced and written by Sotiris Petridis, and directed by Natalia Lampropoulou. In the film stars Joyce Evidi, Matina Koulourioti, and Christos Papadimitriou. The film has been accepted into 11 other international festivals, and won an award. Comic-Con International takes place in San Diego from July 9 to July 12.
