United Airlines announced non-stop trans-Atlantic service between its New York-area hub at Newark Liberty International Airport and Eleftherios Venizelos Airport in Athens.
The daily service will commence on May 25th, 2016 and operate through October 5, 2016. United flight UA124 will depart Newark at 5:40 p.m. daily and land in Athens at 10:40am the following day, local time.
In the other direction, flight UA125 will leave ATH at 12:30 p.m. daily from May 26 through October 6 and reach EWR at 4:30 p.m. local time.
An increase in U.S. tourist numbers to Greece has made Athens a big destination next summer, prompting Delta Airlines to double its service in 2016.
