Thousands of basketball fans from throughout the Boston area turned out for the Boston Celtics versus Milwaukee Bucks game that was officially promoted as “Greek Night” and included a halftime show with Greek traditional dancing and other activities throughout the game.
Berklee College of Music student Erini Tornesaki performed the National Anthem and was interrupted with applause at numerous points through her performance. The native Crete, Greece has been studying in the United States, in between jobs at the prestigious Cirque du Soleil shows that have traveled the world.
Greek basketball star Giannis Antetokounmpo may have been playing for the visiting Milwaukee Bucks but it’s safe to say that the majority of the Greek fans cheered each of the times he put a basketball through the net.

Fans were also treated to a Greek dance performance during halftime.
