Italian prime minister Matteo Renzi appeared frustrated with German handling of negotiating with Greece. In an interview with the Italian newspaper il Messaggero he has officially called on Germany to stop the humiliation of Greece.
“Now common sense must prevail and an agreement must be reached,” he said in an interview.
“Italy does not want Greece to exit the euro and to Germany I say: enough is enough.”
He praised the Greek prime minister for giving in to European demands and plans tell his German counterpart, Angela Merkel, that “enough is enough”.
“Now that Tsipras has made proposals in line with the European demands, we must absolutely sign a deal. Humiliating a European partner after Greece has given up on just about everything is unthinkable.”
