The often outspoken Greek Orthodox Metropolitan of Kalavryta, Ambrosios, took to his personal blog to blame the deadly floods that killed 21 people on “God’s rage.”
He called out the “atheist prime minister and many government ministers” in his fiery post about the floods, which decimated towns in the western outskirts of Athens.
Ambrosios, who once urged his faithful to lash out at gays and to “spit on them, beat them up” because “they are not human,” ominously declared that we are at “the end of days” and living in the “century of the anti-Christ” and that the various weather disasters taking place stem from “the rage of God.”
He complained that television stations included politicians, engineers, meteorologists and other “experts” to discuss the circumstances surrounding the tragic weather events, but not a single man of the clergy was invited on a panel of experts to explain that above all, such weather phenomenon were matters of God.

The floods are because people still listen to an old goat babble about an imaginary god instead of engineering a flood system that will protect them.
Amen, brother.
Shameful and pathetic. Ignorance prevails.
Why is God such a miserably bad shot? He slaughters tens of thousands of innocent ancient Egyptians with his bizarre plagues, but he misses Pharaoh. He devastates New Orleans to punish LGBT people, but kills 1,833 poor and elderly people instead. No evidence that any of them were gay. Now he drowns and crushes two dozen Greek people because the Prime Minister is an atheist. But the PM is not among the casualties.
Clearly, if you want to escape God’s wrath, stand right next to the alleged offender. You’ll be completely safe.
