French Designer Adds Clothes to Greek Nudes

Greek nudes are finally getting some clothes to cover their perfect bods. The classical Greeks, who celebrated the male physique as ‘perfection’ are probably turning in their graves.

French art director Alexis Persani has collaborated with French photographer Leo Caillard to create a series of “sculptures” entitled Street Stone.

The collection was achieved through image manipulation, using Photoshop to digitally “dress” some of the Louvre’s great Classical Greek and Roman statues in the latest fashion trends.

Persani and Caillard created the project as a humorous take on the contrast between contemporary and classic culture, demonstrating the vast metamorphosis society has undergone.
