A short film about a virtually unknown chapter of Greek resistance inside the Nazi German concentration camp of Auschwitz will come to the big screen. The short film Eleftheromania is shooting in Toronto November 13th and 14th and background actors are needed.

The story is about a group of Greek prisoners— the last train that arrived at the death camp from Greece that carried almost 2,000 prisoners from all corners of Greece. Of the nearly 2,000 people on board, most were exterminated immediately but about 400 able-bodied men were placed in quarantine and sent to work as “Sonderkommando,” the dreaded work battalion who did the Nazis’ dirty work in the gas chambers.

The story of these men is one of the greatest untold stories of Greek defiance in all of modern history.
