Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie want to buy their very own island in Greece and transform it into a private retreat for themselves and their children.
The couple, who have six children, Maddox, 13, Pax, 11, Zahara, 10, Shiloh, nine, and twins Knox and Vivienne, six, are reportedly thinking about dishing out $4.7 million on the entire island of Gaia so they can enjoy more private holidays together.
A source close to the couple said: “Angie fell in love with it. It will need development, but at that price they’ll have no problem building the vacation home of their dreams.”
“The kids would finally be able to run around freely without worrying about paparazzi,” the source added.
The 43-acre island has secured planning permission for six villas. It is located in the Ionian Sea in the Echinades Chain of islands near Ithaki and Kefalonia. According to Greek mythology, the Echinades were nymphs who refused to worship the god Achelous– the river deity. As punishment, he turned them into islands. The islands are located at the mouth of the river that empties into the Ionian Sea from the Greek mainland.
The listing of the island appears on Private Islands Online at a 3,745,000 euros— a bargain considering what mansions cost in Beverly Hills these days.

Sure, but why not let them buy Imia instead?
